2024 Colombia Nursing Medical Mission Trip

Baranquilla, Colombia

UPDATED 12/10/2024

Nurses on the Move Inc., a NAHN Houston Chapter initiative, kept our promise of putting into action our promise to promote the improvement of the health of our Hispanic community INTERNATIONALLY. NAHN Houston Chapter extends our heartfelt gratitude to all the donors, sponsors, and volunteers who contributed to the success of the 2024 Nursing Medical Mission Trip to Barranquilla, Colombia (11/8/24-11/18/2024)! Thanks to your generosity and relentless support, we were able to bring critical healthcare services, supplies, and hope to communities in need. The dedication of our NAHN members, volunteers, and the awe-inspiring efforts of our founders, members, and donors made this mission possible, and together, we impacted countless lives.

During our time in Barranquilla, we provided essential medical care, health education, and resources to underserved populations. We are incredibly thankful for the contributions—whether item donations, monetary support, or transportation assistance—that helped make this mission a reality. Your commitment to fostering continuity of hope and healing has left an indelible mark on the communities we served.

The mission trip was a success, and we would like to draw attention to special moments of this trip:

  1. We visited Manati Hospital, Repelon, Villa Rosa, and Ponedera
  2. We had the honor of partnering with local Colombian Nurses
  3. We purchased medical supplies and equipment such as wheelchairs, beds, and shower chairs to beyond grateful residents – allowing them to feel comfortable and remove urine saturated mattresses, and allowing them to safely shower
  4. We provided support and education for an alarming number of young pregnant girls

Stay connected with us for updates, inspiring stories from the field, and glimpses of the incredible outcomes your generosity continues to make possible. Thank you for helping us champion health and healing in communities worldwide.

NEXT STOP...STAY TUNED!
