we will once again be ON THE MOVE to Colombia! The official dates for Colombia are November 11/8/24-11/18/2024. We will be putting into action our promise to promote the improvement of the health of our Hispanic community INTERNATIONALLY! Stay tuned for updates on experiences of healing and hope!

We are thrilled to announce that the Abstract for NAHN Houston Chapter's Nurses On The Move Initiative has been accepted! We will be at the 49th annual NAHN National Conference, taking place from August 1st to August 3rd, 2024, in Atlanta, GA!    

As advocates for Hispanic nurses and healthcare professionals, this opportunity allows us to showcase our dedication, expertise, and commitment to advancing healthcare equity and excellence within our community and beyond.

Join us as we share insights, innovative practices, and collaborative efforts aimed at empowering Hispanic nurses and enhancing the quality of healthcare for all.

Nurses on the Move INC (a NAHN Houston Chapter initiative) is thankful for its medical mission donors and sponsors throughout the years. We visited Puerto Rico and are so grateful to you for helping us make it happen! We visited the municipalities of Vieques, Culebra, Penuelas, Villalba and Salinas during the month of December 2023! This event unites the Latino healthcare community to advocate for the health care issues affecting the Hispanic population and proposing potential solutions. NAHN was excited to lead this joint summit in partnership with other Latino-focused medical associations supporting the needs of the Hispanic community. The first and third day of this summit consisted of educational sessions, while the second day was reserved for participants to attend individual "Hill Day" visits scheduled by the Summit organizers. 

 We met with multiple members of Congress and presented NAHN health policy!
Here are the Legislative Priorities discussed:

1) ACCESS TO HEALTH CARE
2) AMERICA'S HEALTH CARE WORKFORCE
3) CLIMATE EFFECTS ON HEALTH

Guess who's came to the Philly PR Festival Saturday September 23rd at the Lighthouse Field! Yep, Nurses On The Move Inc!  We started discussions about the PR Nursing Medical mission trip, gained supporters and 

did some fundraising with raffle baskets! It was a success! Thank you to everyone who showed up, listened to us tell our story and to those who donated! NAHN Houston and NAHN Philadelphia Chapter were representing the beautiful passionate Puerto Rican culture during this Hispanic Heritage month celebration!
